If you do not want to install any utilities, you can define a workflow using Automator.Among the predefined actions that can be used, there's both Take Picture or Take Video Snapshot, which can be used depending on the camera available. Define your workflow, and either add a waiting sequence prior to taking a photo as in the screenshot, or call it from the command line with a sleep sequence. Once you 'snap' an image with Photo Booth, the images are displayed in the 'film roll' that appears at the bottom of the Photo Booth application after you snap the first image. Clicking on an image in that film roll will select it. Control+clicking offers the option to export or delete the image. Once an image is selected with a single click, click the 'upload' icon beneath the film roll to see the options available.

4. There is a fast way to find and start the application called Photo Booth.app.

In Mac OS X, to take a screenshot (including any menus youmay have selected), pressCommand-Shift-3. You will hear a camerashutter click, and an image of your current screen will be saved toyour desktop in PNG format. In Mac OS X 10.6 and later, itwill be named with the date and time that you take the screen shot.In Mac OS X 10.5 and earlier, it will be named Picture N,where N is a number (e.g., Picture 1,Picture 2, etc.).
